Note: Abortion Rights Campaign Open Information Evening: the Eighth Amendment and Healthcare. This is a public event in Dublin outlining the many ways that the Eighth Amendment affects pregnancy healthcare in Ireland. Speakers from a variety of backgrounds will show how the Eighth not only affects people who need abortions, but also those who use obstetric/maternity services in Ireland. Location will be announced closer to the time. The event is free but registration is required, please see the Eventbrite for registration details. Special Guest Speaker: Donagh Stenson – Bpas – British Pregnancy Advisory Service, the UK’s leading abortion care charity. Also featuring: Philomena Canning, midwife and chairperson of Midwives for Choice, Krysia Lynch, Chair of Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services- Ireland (Aims Ireland). Other speakers from: Doctors For Choice Ireland, Parents for Choice in Pregnancy and Childbirth.

Note: Dublin Central Repeal the 8th will be hosting a public meeting in Lloyd’s pub on Amiens Street on Monday 29th January at 7.30pm. We’ll be joined by Clare Daly TD who’ll be giving us her insight into the Oireachtas Committee on the 8th amendment and what the whole process means for Repeal. Other speakers tbc! It promises to be a great night so get yerselves down to Lloyd’s on the 29th! Sure what else would ye be doing on a rainy Monday?!
